As the silence fell they took you away

I would never hear you laugh again

But at least your pain has passed to joy and you can sleep in peace

Late at night the memories whisper

Reminds me of the day we met

The dreams we had this wasn’t one

Where you’d be gone-is this a dream

Goodbye, goodbye I hate to say goodbye

Goodbye, goodbye, it’s only for a while

Just last week you called my name

I’d give anything to hear you again

Many years we suffered together

A fearless fight seems to no avail

What was the reason behind it all? So many tears, so many prayers

We may never know until we meet again

But it won’t matter then, we’ll be with Him

Jesus knows the pain we feel when we lose someone we love He sits right there and cries with us. Everything we lose we gain for His namesake but still He knows how hard it to say goodbye. I can almost see His face as he ascended to the heavens In victory he might have shed a tear as he said goodbye to everyone he loves....Tim

Runaway

In a state of confusion and hidden illusions you continue to fear the unknown

The runaways beyond our doors can’t find a home, can’t find the love

Without You

Day breaks my empty room where you slept with me

I awaken to the deafening sound of ‘good morning’ never said

He Calmed the Sea

We cast out to sea for an evening’s journey with a calm evening’s wind we’re sailing smoothly

There’s talk of good times, we’ve been with Jesus , the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings

Then as sudden as fright a storm soon gathers the wind starts to blow our happiness shatters

Tossed in the sea, or cries seem so worthless I tried the fight the storm alone

And I saw my destiny in the waves around me and I felt like I’d die in the sea

Then the Lord called my name as He walked on the waves and I knew that we’d/I’d soon be safe

It was Jesus, He calmed the sea

Floating along on life’s sea lane all my future seemed to hold was smooth sailing

Then the storm clouds grew and tossed my life around I tried to fight the storm alone

Driving down the road singing to the radio and lost in the moment

Perfect summer day a few clouds a light wind they say it might rain then I take a glance

To the seat where you used to laugh, used to smile, would sing with me-I catch myself

Wondering what this day would be if you were here with me and I miss you

I thought that yesterday would fade away as I painted over every scene of you

Dancing in my mind memories left behind

You smiled and waved and walked away into my past all the love you had for me was gone

I could only say goodbye I wish I could have asked you why

Will there ever be a second chance when the evening falls and the stars shine

You walk up on me tap my shoulder touch my face look at me kiss my cheek in tears

Say we will be fine the time was wrong but now two ships won’t pass again

And the love you thought you didn’t have grew into forever
